With help from a member of this forum, I found my first P WHIPPLEI tooth. I have searched the web but cannot find a picture of what that shark would of looked like. Are there any good online sources of pictures?
Thanks FD
I have been looking for pics of that shark for a while with no luck. Theres plenty of pics of the teeth but none of the shark. Some good info on that shark is http://www.oceansofkansas.com/ Where do you hunt?? How big?? Those are my favorite teeth to find cause theres a bunch of different types and sizes.

Thanks for the website. I hunt in Mansfield, the tooth is 7/8 wide and 3/4 tall. I'm new to fossils but I'm having a blast and my kids think I'm crazy. I can't wait to see what I find tomorrow.

If your talking about Mansfield, tx thats pretty crazy. Thats where i live. (who cares) most people on here are East Coasters. Thats a nice size tooth. I know of one great spot down there to hunt and it just may be the spot you found that tooth. I just hit that spot after work and found a nice little ptychodus A. and a few other little teeth. Hit me up if ya need some help with anything you find. I'll do my best. If you want a good guide to cretacous sharks teeth go to http://texassharks.org/ Thats a great book. www.cretaceousfossils.com Is another good site to help you with texas fossils.

Do you drive a blue car? Honestly I have no idea what I'm doing. I have found this stuff by accident. I have been researching on the internet and a forum member gave me some advice.

Yeah i drive the blue car. Did I see you at that pit friday night?? Cause looked up and saw someone and they went up over the hill. Theres a varitey of teeth you can get out of that pit. The formation is Britton Shale, Eagle Ford group. Thats where i found my fossil pearl. I have a whole organizer full of teeth i have found out there that I can show you sometime.
That was me, I would be interested in seeing the teeth. I have found a few teeth, I'm new to this fossil thing, but it is very interesting. Drop me a line and mabe we can meet. falcondriver47@hotmail.com
