Unknown Fossil

I found the unknown fossil specimen a couple years ago along Calvert Cliffs, MD and posted it on the MGS website, but no one knew what it was.  Sine then I have found another just like it, same shape, similar size, color, etc.  I think it belongs to a fish, but if so I have no idea what it is.  I'm not sure that it is bone material either.  Since it has a very unique shape I'm hoping someone out there might easily recognize it.  Any ideas?

Thanks, Daryl.

Re: Unknown Fossil

If I was forced to guess I would say it is the base of a fin spine from the back/dorsal area of a fish.
