The teeth in the pics below are all between 1" and 2". These are from a Maryland Paleocene site. At first I thought they were Cretolamna teeth, until I started to find Cretolamna teeth and they are much smaller than these teeth. So, I'm fairly certain these are just small Otodus teeth, otherwise they are some form of large Cretolama teeth. The Otodus from the paleocene in MD seem to be smaller than those typically found in the Eocene deposits (Muddy Creek) in Virginia. .....Daryl.
Thanks Keith. Teeth of this quality are quite rare I discovered. It took almost 10 years to acquire these. What's neat is that most of the teeth from this site are of similar color/quality so I have many different species with the nice blue crowns and tan roots. Most places produce the dark grey crowns and greyish colored roots.
