PCS hooked me up with some slots into the Lee Creek mine for the club for Sunday Nov. 25, the weekend after Thanksgiving. I was wondering if anybody wanted to go?
Think about how awesome it will be to get out and hunt giant, perfectly preserved shark teeth in Auroa - one of the best spots anywhere - after 3 solid days of sitting, watching football, and eating? Have you seen the stuff coming out this season.
Email me if you want to go but only if you are serious. If I get more "definites" than we have slots, I'll give them out based on site contributions - trip reports, fossil reports, and forum posts.
I can not believe the size and amount of teeth that Weezil gets every time at PCS! It nice to be the first in after the mine hasn't been checked for months! I know the rule - volunteer and you can get a good spot. For some of us this simply an option being too far away and not having the time. I will be heading down the weekend before Thanksgiving and will be praying for rain. Even with a huge area, after 6 weeks of hunting all of the easy stuff will surely picked up by then.
I would love to join you at PCS. I'm sending my email requesting a spot tonight. I was able to go to PCS this past spring due to a member having a couple extra spots. I didn't find any killer Megs but did meet some new friends, found some cool stuff and learned alot. Here are some pics from that trip.
hi ditchweezil, i am brand new to the forum here and fairly new to fossil hunting. I would love to go to aurora with you. i will be available that day and i live only an hour or so from there. I have been taking my grandsons to different areas and my seven year old found his first meg, a two incher and a 1 3/4 inch mako on the same day two weeks ago.
