Re: Lee Creek panic
I'm heading down this weekend. Which hills do I need to dig for the best meg chances?  I am assuming that little rain is going to fall this weekend and all of the easy stuff has long since gone.  Last spring you sent me to a couple of good hills just a little left of the ramp. It was tough going because of.......no rain.  I didn't realize Pat posted on this forum. I read her column at Elasmo every week.

Re: Lee Creek panic

Chimp,

Can't you arrange some rain (enough to help, but still allow us to collect)?

Re: Lee Creek panic

Sorry, I'm not in the rain creation business, just forecasting.  It looks like there will be a chance of a little rain in the next couple of days.  A better chance next week when I believe Weezil is going back.  Hey Weezil, with my pervious post, do you find a good spot and dig some of those giant sized holes or just a couple of feet here and there.  BTW, Blackwaterdiver, are you going this weekend?

Re: Lee Creek panic

I saw DW carry his shovel but he was moving too fast for it to go deep into the ground!  There is a lot of Yorktown material to choose from.  If digging is your thing you won't have difficulty finding a spot!  I haven't been in a few weeks, but finding a large pile of whale material to dig around may be more difficult.

I'm scheduled to be there Sunday.

I'd really like to add "rain maker" to your resume.  We sure need it!  We had a trace amount in Raleigh last night, but just enough to give us a little fog this morning.  Not sure what happened in the mine.

Re: Lee Creek panic

Digging is difinitely NOT my thing, so I'm hoping for the rain.  I just want to find a decent meg. The latest forecast is giving eastern NC about 1/2" Thursday.  I'm hoping that they will get hit by one the the storms that dump an inch or more.  It looks like the storms are going to explode over the Gulf stream!

I guess I will ask Pat which are the best Yorktown hills now. I'm not sure about Sunday yet.
