Re: Green Mill Run NC
Yep, that's the park. I've only tried collecting on the West side of Elm Street once, but only for about 1/2 hour or so. I didn't have much luck, for what it's worth.

Re: Green Mill Run NC
It's funny that the biggest tooth I have ever found in Greenville ( 2" meg ) was found at the edge of a road where road fill was tossed and not in any of the creeks.

Re: Green Mill Run NC
I just got back from Greenville. I checked Green Mill Run the day after a heavy thunderstorm. I did not find one tooth. The water was a bit murky and the banks were covered with vegatation. I think that was my last trip to Green Mill Run.

Re: Green Mill Run NC
I hit Greensmill run a few weeks ago, I found very little, and nothing worth mentioning. My friend found 3 decent serrated GW teeth, one a really nice lower. It's definitely gotten really picked over the last couple years, though. When the water is high it's not even worth going at all.

Re: Green Mill Run NC
I find the spoil piles in Beaufort county much more productive. That's where I'll go again next time if I can't get into Lee Creek.

Re: Green Mill Run NC
Aurora spoil piles are great, I'll be going with my kids next week. We have a blast, always plenty of teeth and the collecting is relatively easy. The thing is, with GR there's always that faint hope of finding that killer 3" GW tooth. If you do ever go to Greensmill Run again, you might want to take a 5 gallon fish tank or a glass/plexiglass bottom bucket to see more clearly under the shallow water. I think the teeth are there, it's just harder to find them. Good luck at the piles!
