I visited this forum and at first glance it appears to be more trouble than it's worth. You have to earn status' and you can't even talk about collecting sites. Ditch's forum is great cause it caters to kind hearted fossil hunters helping each other. This site makes ya feel like your being watched. To the creater of the new site, please don't be offended, this is constructive criticism. Thats my 2 cents. Drew

Thanks for the constructive criticism, I had some public forums in the past but there were some major problems : -almost zero participation (about 98 procent of the postings came from myself...) -spam mail (especially with the yahoo groups being attacked) -too much commercial dealers wanting to sell their stuff, I only wanted a non-commercial educative forum... with the new forum : -participation will be rewarded (& only the really interessed people will stay, I know...) and that's one of the reasons why it's restricted a little more then before...
