PEACE RIVER

I am new to this forum and new to fossil & sharks teeth hunting. I am looking for advice on good places to search the Peace River. For my first time, it is important that the area is easy to get to. Directions would be helpful. I will be without a boat on my initial trip.

I am also looking for advice on techniques. I am a certiied diver and treasure salvor from the east coast, so dirty water, zero viz does not bother me. With water levels so low righ now, is diving even required? Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: PEACE RIVER
Most of the river is knee deep or less, even canoeing is challenging. The Wachula area is a good.starting point. Go to the boat ramp and head down stream. You will see where other people have been sifting. Just don't dig in the banks lest ye be keelhauled by the FWC.

Re: PEACE RIVER

Try the boat ramp at Arcadia.  It is next to the Peace River campground.  Without a canoe you can dig all day long right there.  A gun range is just across the street so you may hear gunfire throughout the day.  A exposed fossil bed is also right there so just by walking you can find teeth.  Both of my boys have found some real nice ones right there.

Good Luck!
