Rappahannock River (Va)
I have heard that there is a place to find Shark teeth along the Rappahannock River(Va), near Port Royal. I have researched the area and learned their are paleocene exposures there. I also heard about a place called Carters Cliffs ? If anyone collected at either of these two spots, I would love to hear from you. Happy Hunting Drew

I have never been hunting on the Rap, but have heard that there are some nice teeth down there. I went on a fossil dig with the VMNH in Carmel Church, and one of the Museum Professors had a large Meg that he said was from the rappahannock. He got hedgey when I asked him where...Internet searches for me have turned up nothing. This sounds like something you might have to ask a local about. Find some kids, and ask them. Before I started using the internet, I found several places in Calvert Maryland to hunt just by asking a group of kids I encountered in the walmart there. Kids know Everything. And, They are willing to share info...
