new jersey sites

Hello Everyone..Haven't been on the site for a while and was checking things out.  I was out quite a bit this past year and found some interesting teeth.  I know that everyone has their honey hole that they keep on the qt but I am in search of some larger specimens in the central or southern New Jersey area.  I do go out by myself as most of my buddies think that I am crazy for doing it but I find it very relaxing being a former archaelogist.  I am looking to plan some trips around my hectic schedule that is why I am posting now.  I figure I can save some time by plotting them now.

Than being said I am very respectful and take out whatever I bring in as well as other garbage that I find.  Can someone email me with a location that will yield larger teeth?  I promise not to divulge any info, nobody in my life would care anyway, lol...Everyone that read my last couple of posts have been extremely helpful and I hope that this post will yield the same.  I hope everyone in fossil land had a great holiday season and enjoy a prosperous new year....Thanks in advance.

Re: new jersey sites

Hi Gunner,

Shark River is a very good place to look for Eocene/Miocene material. The teeth in the NJ formations generally don't reach the size you see down south: anything over 2" is a rarity. But, the spectrum of what you might find is much more broad than most locations. Drop me an email if you need directions.

Take Care,

Dan
