my first mega tooth
Modified By ditchweezil on 1/24/2008 10:19:46 PM)
I found this tooth in august of 2007 at calvert cliffs north of the cabins. My brother and i were looking through about 6-8 inches of water during mid-tide when seemingly out of nowhere i looked down and immediately knew i found a gem. Its about four inches in near perfect condition and great color. Needless to say my brother was happy for me for all of about five seconds,ha,ha. After six more months of searching we have yet to find another. Then we met Tony. All three of us went on a fossil hunt, when Bob found his first megladon 2 3/4 ". SPECIAL THANKS TO TONY.Looking forward to many more hunts.

Re: my first mega tooth

Welcome to the site.  That tooth is even better in person!!  What a bay gem.  I was fortunate to see it and hold it while they were waiting for Tony to go on  a hunt.    Good hunting  Chris
