Aurora Fossil Museum

I don't know how many of you have had a chance to visit and/or support the Aurora Fossil Museum, but if you have the chance while in town for a trip to Lee Creek, I highly recommend it.  There are some folks that may not know about the museum, and some may not be able to visit due to travel limitations or whatever.   Therefore, I created a webpage with some photo's of the museum and its exhibits.  I added this new webpage to the MGS club website.  If you're interested in seeing a sample of what the museum has inside, take a look via the link(s) below.

You can either go to the homepage of the MGS club and click on the "Visit the Aurora Fossil Museum" link in the MGS Info Board area, or go directly to the AFM webpage via the second link below.

MGS Home page:  http://www.ecphora.net/mgs

AFM Webpage:  http://www.ecphora.net/mgs/aurora_fossil_museum.html

The museum of course has its own website at: http://www.aurorafossilmuseum.com/

The Friends Club website is at:  http://www.afmfriends.org/

Don't forget about the Aurora-Richland Fossil Festival this year - May 24th.

Daryl.

Re: Aurora Fossil Museum
I agree with Daryl here, the Aurora fossil museum is a fantastic place to go.  All of their displays are nice but for me the best stuff is the composite dentitions of a great number of fossil sharks along with modern jaws, great for identifying teeth and their position in the jaws.  Be sure to stop by for the fossil festival May 24 as well.  There are always a great number of fossils on display and for sale and there should be some great speakers this year.
