It's Saturday afternoon, and in one more week, I will be beginning the pilgrimage to Aurora. It's my second time going there, and the first time going with BRFC. I was wondering who else is going to be there this coming Sunday as part of the BRFC crew. As excited as I am about the hunt, I'm also looking forward to meeting some of the other fossil fanatics from this site.
Good hunting to all!
Tom
Sunday the 23rd?
You may want to double check with Curtis Ormond because we (the guides) received notice there would be no groups scheduled Easter Sunday.
Yeah, DW sent an email yesterday explaining the date mixup. Correct date is Saturday March 22.
I have emailed everyone who had a space and have not yet heard from 4 people. I reeeeeally hope those 4 check their email or this forum before the hunt, else they are going to show up on the wrong day and not get to hunt. This should be a really awesome collecting day. Its been raining a lot of up there lately. T$ and I will be there Saturday to help relieve the burden on saturated yorktown soils, barely able to contain the serrated treasures within.
BWD do you still have the weezling's rake or did you give it back to da fossz?
Ok guys,
Here's the latest. If any of your group doesn't get the message to come on Saturday, there will be someone there on Sunday as well. They'll get the chance to collect anyway. No one will miss the opportunity this weekend--assuming an act of God doesn't prevent it.

DW,
I have the rake!!! It will be with me Saturday. Hopefully the ramp will be repaired and collecting will be a go for Saturday.
We're all keeping our fingers crossed about the ramp. Just think though, if the storm was heavy enough to tear up the ramp that bad, how many treasures are just sitting fully exposed now, waiting for us to give them good homes? You're right, Mason, it's getting harder every day to get any decent sleep!
To any PCS folks that might be reading this- I'm sure that everyone else here would agree with me when I say that I truly and greatly appreciate the efforts being undertaken to repair the ramp. We all know that these trips into the mine are only possible because of the hard work and generosity of PCS, and I for one couldn't be more thankful.
You might like the storms we got here in the Dallas area today. We got 4 inches of rain with more coming tonight. That would uncover some teeth in the mine.
Someone told me there might be a mixup with Saturday OR sunday. The person Im going down there with is going in on Sunday. Are you allowed to go in one day or the other because of all the mixups?
