hunting lafarge

  me the wife and our son will be hunting lafarge for the first time on the 19th. I was was wandering if we should surface collect, dig, os sift with a 1/4 in. screen? thank for any info.

if we get a lot of rain, you should surface collect first. the collectable area is small and there are a large number of hunters, so surface collecting is over in about an hour so you should plan on digging. you can't sift the material at lafarge because it is a thick claylike layer. there is also very little water.
