Its not for the outside its for the inside that gets all grimy and sweaty. When the wind blows all that fine sand gets stuck up in the crevaces. After a few trips, when you take it off it looks like you're wearing war paint after a day in the mine. i'll hope that the rest of my gear has enough mojo to spare.
As far as boots go, mine get washed continually in streams. I do however, get a tingle of excitement when I distribute fresh PCS dust to a local stream. Its the cycle of ritual renewal. I can't wait to go there. I was reading an article about a trip to Lee Creek written in 1987 earlier today. I really love that place.
I have never found what some people would call "the Big One" yet. But I have found my biggest Meg from anywhere at Lee Creek. It was on my 4th trip into the mine. It is a 4 1/4" tooth that is very close to perfect. It actually was found the same day as Fossilmick's huge Meg!! As for counting down the time.......I started the countdown as I walked up the ramp this past spring!! I can't wait for my next time to hunt there agian.
Yea I have to agree with kevin the lucky number seems to be 4. I scored the monster 4.5 my last trip in. I mean it was an act of GOD that I did find it. There hadnt been any trips in for weeks and Kevin you almost got to it before I did. Best part about that story is its my only meg from lee creek. ONLY ONE IN 4 TRIPS......but ill take it. It sure has me going for next season!
Just stoppin in-tony
