I went two weeks ago (see post below) and this time was not disappointed. The state sponsored trip was for 4 hours, and I finally hit the right layer to dig in. Basically you are digging into a wall. About two feet under where you are standing up against the wall is the place to dig. Everything you are standing on is spoils that have been dug to death. You have to get underneath that crap. I dug out a tiny but perfect meg and a sweet mako, along with a bunch of little teeth. There was a kid about ten yards away that hit a sweet spot and got 16 makos, all large, most perfect. He also found a very nice partial fish jaw that was quite cool. Another fellow next to me found a complete ray crusher plate, top and bottom that he donated to the museum. I was on the fence as to whether go back again, but I urge anyone who has the opportunity to go!
