Florida Shark Tooth Guide?
hello everyone, Question: Does anyone know of a decent guide to Florida fossil shark teeth? A friend of mine was sent a bunch of teeth from the Peace River, and there are a few that either I can't ID, or that I know we don't have in the NC-NJ area with which I'm familiar (e.g., Galeocerdo muyambensis). thanks, Keith

RE: Florida Shark Tooth Guide?
Hey there, as far as looking for a guide to the Peace River, there's a man named Mark Renz who is awesome for this. He wrote a book called :Megalodon, Hunting the Hunter and a book called: Fossiling in Florida. He's really nice too. His website is: www.fossilexpeditions.com, check it out and tell him John the computer guy in Jacksonville told ya.

Good luck,
John in Florida

RE: Florida Shark Tooth Guide?
I met Mark several years ago when I was in Florida. He is very knowlegable about Florida fossils, extremely personable, and has an intellectual side that is stimulating. Read his newest book, Doug'Ark,(fiction - you can get it through Amazon or his web site)which was born out of his imaginative mind and his discoveries at the LaBelle Fossil site. There is also a web site for his LaBelle finds. I'll post the address later (its bookmarked on my other computer. I would also highly recommend "Fossiling in Florida" and "Megladon-Hunting the Hunter"
