With the hurricane coming up the coast (and with a little luck) shark tooth hunting should be pretty good. I am going out tomorrow and will share my finds. Good luck to everyone going out!

RE: Going out after Charlie and seeing what I can find?
How did you do? Where were you looking?

I recently moved to within 20 miles of Lee Creek, so I went out right before the storm and moved some of the spoil piles around (so it would rain on fresh exposure), and it worked well!

2@1.5" megs, 5@1-1.5" makos, 3@Carcharoides catticus, a dozen Alopias, nearly a dozen Sphyrna, and some nice barracuda teeth, in addition to the common Carcharias, Carcharhinus and Hemipristis teeth. Bring on more hurricanes! LOL

RE: Going out after Charlie and seeing what I can find?
Well Charlie didn't make it as strongly to Maryland as one would hope, in light of this fact my prize of the day was a complete cow shark tooth with all of the cusps both on the major crown and on the mesial edge (the root was fully intact as well). So nothing spectacular, but not a total waste of time either, then again is shark tooth hunting ever?

Keith,

Are you talking about Choco or about some other spoil piles. I don't know if I have found anything over 2" in those piles. It's mostly small to medium stuff.
