Green Mill Run Virtual Tour
I think I first learned of that infamous stream called Green Mill Run in Greenville, NC from DW's website, so it's only fitting that I come back and contribute to the topic.

I, like others before and after me, have started threads here to inquire about Green Mill Run in Greenville, NC. We've wanted to know everything from where it's located, how you get there, where to hunt, what you find, etc. Well, on my last trip down to NC for a trip into Lee Creek, I decided to take my digital camera so I could take several pics of the stream at Green Mill Run (GMR). Well, upon returning to MD after my trip to GMR and Lee Creek, I put together a couple of web pages on GMR, covering everything from its location, directions, maps, pictures of the stream, etc. The final product can be viewed via the homepage of the Maryland Gelogical Society (MGS) website (http://www.ecphora.net/mgs) and then click on the Green Mill Run link on the left side of the page. Or just type in http://www.ecphora.net/mgs/gmr.htm in your browser window. You'll be able to take sort of a virtual tour of the location, beginning in the parking lot, finishing up in the stream.

Ditchweezil was kind enough to do a quick review of the pages for me, but if you find any glaring mistakes, incorrect info, or want to provide additional info/feedback for me to add, email me. My email can be found on the MGS website, or post the info here.

Daryl.

I just added a link to this excellent resource on the Links page. If you have ever been to GMR, want to go there, or just have a thing for hunting fossils, definitely check it out. dw
