Unknown Mammal Tooth
I need help identifying a tooth I found recently along Calvert Cliffs, MD. I was sifting some new zone 10 material (Miocene) and came across this weird tooth, which I'm failry certain is a mammal tooth. It has no root, but is in pristine condition. I don't think it was suposed to have a root. When I showed it to some folks at our recent MGS club meeting, one person thought it might be a junvenile "un-erupted" deer tooth. You can check it out at http://www.ecphora.net/mgs/gallery06.htm. It's the first picture on the page. Post your ID guess here so others can find out what it is also.

thanks,
Daryl.

RE: Unknown Mammal Tooth
I have to agree with it being a deer tooth also.

RE: Unknown Mammal Tooth
Thanks Elliot. So far I've had a few people email me and also tell me that they think it's a deer tooth. If so it's my first from Calvert Cliffs, MD.

vr,
Daryl.
