Ammonites

Is there anyone else out there that find them or is it just me.  I would like to see some others from different locations other than Texas.  I have been on an ammonite spree latley, finding them just about everywhere I look.  I stumbled across a creek the other day that produces pyritized ammonites.  Tonight I found a couple beauties, I'll get the pics up asap.

Re: Ammonites
Ammonites are right up there with fish & shark as my favorite fossils! Unfortunately, as an east-coast resident, my collecting opportunities for these ancient cephalopods are limited. I have picked up a few small Oxybeloceras sp. from Delaware's C&D canal, and a healthy section of Discoscaphites sp. from NC (about 60 degrees worth of a 360 coil, 3" in diameter). Alas, to have had a chance to find the 3' and 4' diamater Placenticeras placenta from the C&D Canal that were present in the 1960's... I'll get a few pics up soon. Keith
