I just got off the phone with Paleobum and he said that the Cypress Gardens Fossil show was going to be Saturday, January 26th from 10 to 4. He asked if Black River Fossils would be interested in co-hosting the event with the Charleston museum and I was pretty excited to say yes. I'll be there displaying my fossils for sure, and I wondered if anyone else wanted to display as part of Black River Fossils? There is limited space - and there are more people to display than there is room so we have to know soon.
There is always a good diversity of fossils from all over the place and this year they are expanding the show to include Gem and Mineral displays, too. I'm excited already, and the show is still 3 months away!
Yeah, I'd love to come out and represent the BRFC at the show!

I would like some more information regarding this event. Is it Cypress Gardens SC or FL? In addition to fossils on display, will there be fossil vendors there? How many exhibitors are you looking for? Is there a website that has info, maps, etc? Fall collecting season at PCS will be over in December, and Fossilron and I are always looking for new things to do. Thanks.

The show will be at Cypress Gardens in SC, which is right next to where we go diving in the Cooper. Would you believe I saw a guy pull out a complete sabre cat maxilla there? Ahh the memories...
But anyway, In the past there have been vendors there, so I can only assume that there will be some this time around. I also don't know how many exhibitors are needed, but Paleobum told me that if I knew people who wanted to display to let him know so we could reserve space for them. PB said that in the past they have had to turn exhibitors away because there was so much interest.
