I finally got my copy of Geology and Paleontology of the Lee Creek Mine, North Carolina, IV yesterday. I've only had a chance to summarily thumb through it, but my first impressions are that the book was well worth the wait! It has tons of info and lots of pictures. The whale sections were particularly interesting because I've actually seen some of that stuff in the mine. Its getting me excited about the spring season at Lee Creek!
I ordered my copies through the Friends Club. If anyone out there knows when we are getting ours let me know.
cheers,Daryl.
They should be on the way. I ordered mine through the friends club, too.
I don't know where you would get a copy now. I (and I assume many others) ordered through the Friends of the Aurora Fossil Museum almost 2 years ago.
The Aurora Fossil Museum also has copies of the LC-lV for sale in the gift shop. Price is 75.00+tax. The Synopsis of all published fossils found in the mine is worth the price of the book (in my opinion). Leaves no doubt if you've found something new from there. Also, beginning March 1, the museum will begin opening on Sunday's from 12:30 to 4:30. Pat Y
