Schiele Museum Fossil Festival

Just a heads up for everyone:

The Schiele Museum is holding it's annual Fossil Festival on Saturday, Feb 23. 10am-4pm.  The Fair features Dr. Larry Agenbroad from Discovery Channel’s Raising the Mammoth.

and...

Featured exhibit: TUSKS! Ice Age Mammoths and Mastodons
Come see Dima, a 40,000-year-old preserved baby woolly mammoth! Marvel at the jaws of a 10-million-year-old shoveltusker! Check out the fossils of a saber tooth cat, a 6-foot-long giant armadillo, a 9-foot-tall giant ground sloth! The story of massive furry mammoths and towering mastodons and of their neighbors is told through videos, colorful graphics and more than 80 specimens and replicas. Tools created by mammoth and mastodon hunters are displayed, and the role of ancient humans in the extinction of these giants is examined. Visitors can even conduct their own fossil hunt in the exhibit's dig pit. Entry into this featured exhibit is $2 for all visitors, in addition to general admission.

I'll be there displaying for the AFM so stop by and say hello.  I may even wear my BRF shirt!

Blackwater

Thanks for the heads up about the Schiele Fossil Festival .  It's just a short drive across Gaston County for me and I never can remember when it's happening.  Looking forward to meeting you and anyone else from the website that might drop by.

I would go if it wasn't the same day as the Cypress Gardens show!
