Trip from SC to Ohio
We're going on a road trip this year up to Ohio to visit family and Cedar Point. I think I've seen where people have hunted trilobites up around there. Does anybody know anything about that? I'd like to do some fossil hunting while we're up there. Also, does anybody have any suggestions of things we should do on the way? We're up for any type of fossil hunting, gem and mineral hunting, meteors, anything!

Well DW there is the cliff exposures here in Maryland ...never mind they only have those boring old shark teeth......LOL   Maybe you should tour Washington DC's monuments instead   .

The Jasper Burns book lists sites in WV for collecting. I can look up some sites and email them to you if you would like. Another key feature of your trip to know about, the Ohio cops are not the most forgiving of speeders and they have a special dislike for tourista's.  Good state to use cruise control.  You can alternately side trip to Kings Island in southern Ohio on the way into Cedar Point as well.  Save cedar point for second though - lots of great rides there.  The raptor and the millenium coaster are the best .
