Trilobites
Anyone ever hunted for trilobites in S.C.? I don't suppose anyone wants to share any collecting sites.

RE: Trilobites
Believe it or not, several trilobites have been found in South Carolina. I don't know many details, but from what I remember, they were found somewhere near Columbia. The interesting part of the story was that the layer they were found in originated on the African continent, but when the continents split, that chunk stayed to put SC on the trilobite map.

RE: Trilobites
So I hear. Have you seen the book "Carolina Rocks!"? It's about South Carolina geography. It mentions trilobites having been found in the Piedmont. I wonder how plentiful they are.
