Fossils hunting in Southern ca.

Is anyone out there from southen ca.? I'm in ventura, an anthro student and looking for fossil hunters in my area. I have been interested in fossil hunting for years but have just started hunting in the last two. I've been to N.C. and S.C. twice now looking for teeth on the beaches, did okay but not great. Last June I ended up with twelve teeth of various species. I have a spot just behind my house that I've collected turrilite type specimens, only these are as large as four inches. I haven't found anything else but these.
