Anybody near Georgetown (Lowcountry SC?
Hi,
I'm relative rookie to the art of fossil collecting. I've found the occasional small tooth, whale bone, and the like on beaches (from just south of Myrtle Beach to Sull.Island in Mt. Pleas.) but that's about it.
I've tried to expand my search to random ditches, dug out construction ponds, etc., but have had no luck whatsoever- with the exception of finding a ton of old fossilized coral at a new home site.
Anyway, I was wondering if anybody lived near G-town that knows what they're doing and wouldn't mind me tagging along to pick up a few pointers. I get the distinct impression of searching for the proverbial haystacked needle every time I try to "expand my horizions", and would sure appreciate the help.
