Stingray tooth plate
I found one of these the other day in Dorchester County. It's about two inches in diameter, fairly well preserved. I don't collect fossils because of their possible value to collectors, and I keep everything I find. I was just wondering whether these things are worth anything? And if so, what?

RE: Stingray tooth plate
the ones that are more than one 'row' connected are more rare and thus more valuable, but they are not worth too much to the best of my knowledge unless you get a 'huge' one. that being said, i don't collect them much at all because they are fairly common. i do sometimes pick up the ones that are partial plates tough. i suppose the easiest way is to search on them on ebay, or fossil dealing websites. i am sure there are people that buy them.
