Well I found this rock on a dive in the Cooper River a few weeks ago. I dismissed it as a neat rock, with a percision hole in it. The reason I am now questioning my original identification is because I was surfing Fossils on the web and came across a site that had a pile of these things and they are calling them Indian Beads. They had found theres in the Peace River in Florida. I know that BRF has experts from both the Cooper and the Peace Rivers and I am curious if anyone else has ever found one of these, and if so what is it? A wothless rock that I should have thrown back, or a prized Indian artrifact that I should treasure. It is about 1 1/4 inches long, and about 3/4 or and inch wide at its widest spot. Thanks for the help . Here is the site that I found..... the picture in question is at the very bottom of the page--Thanks again. http://english.fossiel.net/locations/location.php?plaats=Peace%20River
