It must be a pretty amazing experience to be in the field for 3 weeks! Many of us can only imagine. How did you find out about the Trilobite site in Big Pine? I didn't collect the footprint, but I wanted too. I didn't have the right tools with me to safely extract the footprint from the rock without breaking it. The trilobite site in Big Pine is not a public site. Geologists get special permission to do field work in that area.
