Early in November I took a trip to Calvert Cliffs in Calvert Cliffs State Park.  Now, the park has a pretty tiny beach, but it seems to be less crowded, especially in the fall and winter because of the 1.8 mile hike to the water.  It was cold and windy but I managed.  I found two good makos; the first was 1.25" and the other was 1.85", both were of Isurus hastalis.  I also found a piece of sea turtle shell, along with a myriad of small, mostly broken teeth and shells.  The makos were nice, but unfortunately, nothing else of much interest were found.

Location Calvert County, Maryland, USA

My finds for the day. As you can see, nothing spectacular was found.
A view of the beach.
