Woke up late and headed to the beach. Ive been doing a lot of hunting at Matoaka  Cabins on the Choptank formation lately.  Anyway met two nice me I believe their names were Bob and Chuck. They hadn’t had to much luck at my favorite spot so they were walking out and I started searching. I was finding some teeth but nothing nice. In a slump pile by the water I saw some zone 17 exposed. So I climbed up on a tree branch and dug for a good  5 MINUTES! And this beauty pops out right in front of me. A PERFECT 2 ¾ INCH MAKO. I dug for another 5 minutes and said, “Ha I’ll wait till next time”.  So I caught back up with the guys and talked to them about the place and fossils….Absolutely amazing mako. I just couldn’t believe it.

It was a low tide… not to low and the water was nice and calm with no wind.  Nice day!!
