Think outside the pit

I had not been digging in a while, and DW had some new spots to investigate. We decided to hit a new pond, and as we climbed on the overburden, DW noticed some layer near the base. We quickly dug, and within 20 minutes DW hit paydirt. Fifteen minutes later, another Meg. I had to pour water on his shovel, he was smokin'!! I finally moved to the other side of the pond, and within one minute flipped out a killer 5" Meg. Probably the best blade I have found. I moved a little more dirt, and saw a HUGE root. Could it be the elusive 6-1/2" Meg?? Not today, my friends. We ended up re-filling at the nearby Taco Bell, and dug two more hours until exhaustion set in. We left tired, but as you can by the pics, lots of teeth were found.
