An Unbelievable Day!!!

Today started out like most others - I got up early and got ready. I looked outside and saw that it had been raining - great, I thought. My boots were gonna be full of water. thA duDe showed up, and we went and picked up T-money and headed off to the forbidden pond. Where else? When we got there, J of the golden shovel and Mrs. Of the Golden Shovel were already hard at work. Apparantly, yesterday J payed the backhoe guy $10 to dig out a spot to dig. There was a nice little spot all ready for us! I jumped to J's left, T-money went off to find a spot away from us. He's somewhat of a loner, sometimes. thA duDe started on my left where the top hadn't been taken off. I felt kindof bad digging in the easy spot, but I got there first. That's the name of the game, you know? I hit paydirt first with the nice 2" mako. Then T-money pulled out like a 2 3/4" mako - NICE. J and Mrs. Of the Golden Shovel got tired of not finding anything, so they went off to walk the piles. A little while passed, and I wasn't finding anything, so I decided to go off and dig the Chandler Bridge. I'm off digging aimlessly for about 20 minutes when I hear thA duDe yell COME HERE, QUICK! I knew something was up when T-money groaned DANG. I ran closer, but my boots got stuck in the mud, so my advance was postponed momentarily. I heard thA duDe cackling and uttering things like "oh man! FREAK!" He had a nice one. I freed myself from the oppressive Chandler Bridge and finally made my way to the action. duDe was carefully digging an immense megalodon from a chunk of wall that he collapsed with my new tool, THE DEVASTATOR! Please have enamel, he implored! The front of the tooth finally saw the light of day and it looked sweet! With shaking hands, he cautiously washed away the mud from the leviathan. The rain poured as mud gave way to enamel and finally root, we all found ourselves in awe of what he had found. A 6 1/2" Megalodon. It has 50% of the bourlette; it is completely serrated. The root is 1 3/4" thick, and the tooth weighs a pound and a half. It’s the biggest tooth I ever saw. Its in fantastic condition. Undoubtedly, it is the best tooth that came out of the forbidden pond. In all my years of collecting, I have never seen a tooth of this size and quality. thA duDe is a lucky man! After each of us had our turn holding and admiring the prize of the year, we went back to our holes with visions of ourselves finding such a treasure. We each dug with renewed vigor! T-Money yells, I got a meg! We all come running, but its just a half. The rain had slowed to a drizzle by now, but it didn't matter. It had been an hour since I had started digging the Chandler Bridge, and I had nothing. Would I leave empty handed today? I looked at the ground and my mind buzzed. Is the killer angy under that next shovel-full? Am I wasting my time? Drawing upon disappointing trips in the past, I pulled myself from the angustiden-haven, and announced that I was going walking. I really didn't think that I would find anything doing that, either, but at least it was a change and I could give my aching hands a break. Off in the distance, I spotted some hills of dirt. Surely, J and Mrs. Of the Golden Shovel had already hunted these. Still, my curiosity was piqued, and I headed off into parts unexplored. The hills loomed large, and I could see that these were indeed taken from the tooth-rich mud hole we all know as the forbidden pond. Might as well start at the beginning and search them all. Then, on the first hill, there it was. My Excalibur! Sticking blade-first into the earth, the giant white root called to me - ditchweezil… ditchweezil… She was mine! Another 6" tooth to our credit. How can we find two teeth of such grandeur in one day? Who knows, but I didn't have time to ponder it. I still had hills to search. 20 minutes later, I pulled out another, smaller prize. It was whole too! Oh, man! Then another root-worn giant atop a hill. This day could not get any better. Unable to contain the urge to show off my new-found teeth, I headed back across the field. It was my turn to wow the group. And I did. Twice in one day we shook our collective heads in disbelief at our fortune. We agreed that the day was over. We had all been drenched by the driving rain, and we were eagar for the solice that only Taco Bell could provide. Today there was only the thrill of victory as our weekly ritual ended over a Mexican Pizza and a diet pepsi.
