Fossil Hemi Tooth   Dorchester County, South Carolina, USA - Hemipristis serra
I love the color on this tooth. Its almost a reddish-purple color. Plus its got a cool variation on the blade. There is a little indentation on the edge of the blade that looks like feeding damage but magnifaction reveals there is no break, but the enamel is smooth and is just indented. There is another variation in some teeth in ...

1 5/16" Snaggletooth Shark Tooth   Berkeley County, South Carolina, USA - Hemipristis serra
Besides being a beautiful tooth, this one has the added bonus of a pathology. It has serrations running parallel to the root on the back of the tooth. You can see it quite easily in the second photo. It also has another errant serration on the other edge, but I couldn't get a good photo of it. ...
