This is a pretty rare fossil - a wolf carnassial tooth. I'll likely never find another. I found it splashing rocks that I dug from the bottom of the big ditch. It's very worn - one person I showed it to at Cypress Gardens fossil show said the tooth looks like it was swallowed - and now that I think about it, he's probably right. Shark teeth that have been swallowed look a lot like this.... |
