This was the first of two mammoth teeth I found in one day. I'd never found one before this one. What a beauty for my first! This is a rare occurrence - the outer bark of the tooth has been eaten away to reveal the enamel plates bonded together in the middle. Its a really cool kind of wear, because the incredible detail of the unerupted surface can be seen....
