Peccary Tooth
Monmouth County, New Jersey, USA - Mylohyus nasutus |
|
|
One of many things great about collecting with others is that it sometimes broadens the list of fossils that you can hope to find at any given location. I normally wouldn't go into a New Jersey stream hoping to find a fossil peccary tooth, but JP changed all that after finding this beauty. He was kind enough to loan it to me so I could post it. What a find!... |

Fossil Peccary Tooth

My first peccary tooth. It doesn't have any root left, but the enamel is in excellent shape. Its extremely detailed and shows hardly any wear. Great color.... |
