Just a beautiful tooth! Rics fascinate me because the nice ones are so elusive. I only wish I still had the ground photo for this one! It was awesome to see it lying in a clear stream just on top of the limestone.... |

I am still in shock that I found this tooth where I did. I was at a site only a few miles from the ocean, and there was an Eocene layer exposed! This tooth came right out of it, and is definitely the most unexpected find of the day. Even more stunning is its condition. I've hunted the quarries inland for these teeth, and to date, I still haven't found a perfect one. I'll take 'em how I can get 'em, though.... |
