Yes sweetie, that is a REAL Dinosa....Uhh Marine Reptile tooth!

Today I only had only about 2 1/2 hours to collect, so I decided to go to Ramanessin where the collecting is fairly steady. Good decision. I found some nice items but the nicest was a 3/8" mosasaur tooth that is in perfect condition! This was the second mosasaur tooth I've ever found and it was about 5' from where I found the first one. And my daughter was excited because she thinks its neat when I find dinosaur teeth - I have to wait until she's old enough to explain the finer points of reptilian pelvic anatomy in the Cretaceous. Other notable (but not necessarily perfect) items were a nice goblin shark lateral tooth (center), a beat up Enchodus jaw piece (middle right), a small piece of a large ratfish jaw (top right) and a more recent mammalian tooth which I still need to identify.
