This Lee Creek Mako shark tooth is tied for the largest of the species that I found on my most recent visit to the PCS mine. Many mako teeth are found at Lee Creek. Though very nice, I didn't notice anything special about this tooth until after I showed my finds to Pat Y. and I was on the bus, still in disbelief that I actually made it up the ramp after a hard day of collecting. I took this tooth out of my pouch and began scraping away the dirt from the blade with my thumbnail. I felt something hard, like limestone attached to the blade. I dug this one out at the end of the day before making my way to the ramp to exit the pit. A sweet gem from the yorktown.

This Lee Creek mako is so sharp you could shave with it. Only use a scent you're prepared to live with though, because the root really soaks it up.

A monster of a tooth that's really sharp. No ground shot because I found this on a steep edge and I couldn't get a good shot. I picked this up with my new rake to avoid tumbling down the edge of the pile in to the water.

A huge mako that was a mere 3 feet from my best megalodon tooth of the day. Its the closest together I've ever found two such quality teeth anywhere except in the river.
