Good Weekend

It was a good weekend. Nice and hot. I started early Saturday morning with a 2.5 inch on the beach and a nice small posterior in the water. The winds had been blowing for about 12hours but not long enough to make a serious difference in water level. Just keeping it calm.

I then went to another local beach to see what conditions were like there. The tide was about the same, definitely more people on this one. I wasn't having much luck so I did a little chit chatting. After about an hour another hunter and I were walking off and right on the sand was a little dagger meg...cool color too.

A brief stop at the Calvert Marine Museum.... I gave Flag ponds a try for the first time. It will probably be my last. As I slowly made my way North I stopped at the cabins to poke around a little. I found about 5 teeth...nothing worth mentioning.

Finally the last stop back to the first beach for the evening low tide. It was awesome there were other collectors on the beach but they were all at the far end. The tide must of just dropped because there were teeth everywhere. I was piking up tigers, hemis and little teeth constantly. I finally saw a suspicious object in the water and it turned out to be the 4th meg of the day. A little under 1.5 black a Little ruffed up. Other good finds... partial croc tooth. A threasher/ hammerhead/ a large and small porpoise tooth.

Sunday a few friends came with me to the beach for a quick trip. It was almost evening low and some locals had found 2 megs in about a half hour....After hearing that my spider senses were telling me to take off down the beach...5-10 minutes passed and another dark object under the water ended up being a 2 inch meg.  Pretty typical dark blue/ black color.
