A Summerville Sunday...

It was cloudy Sunday with a chance of scattered showers, but I had already made plans to head up to Summerville and meet up with a fellow digger. We arrived at the site and I started to probe several spots. I decided to dig in an area where there was already some layer partially exposed. Within three minutes of digging a Megalodon fell in the hole. It was small at 2-1/8th inches long, but the teeth in this spot have nice colors so I knew it was going to be a nice one and it was in pretty good shape too. We dug for about another hour and then the rain started to open up so we decided to call it a day. Although we found a few other teeth the bigger ones eluded us this time and this turned out to be the tooth of the day. Thats the way digging for teeth goes...
