Marine Mammal tooth?

Daryl - Out in California it is not totally uncommon to find teeth from a prehistoric
precursor to thew hippopotymus called Demystylus (not positive on spelling). This looks like a multiple cusp tooth from a marine mammal bit not 100% sure.

Good luck finding an answer.
